Hindu Kush marijuana is supposedly the first strain of cannabis ever to be brought out of the Orient to the West; in fact it is one of the oldest marijuana strains in existence. It has remained mostly the same, with little mixing other than a flirtation with White Widow for added potency and flavor. Having said that, for medicinal uses, Hindu Kush is frequently the base to which other strains are added to produce a tailored medication.
A short bushy plant with orange-red pistils and a moderate frosting; the aroma and flavor are best described as earthy. Some users have commented that the smoke burned the throat and caused instant coughing. This was counterbalanced by the almost immediate body relaxation; after the first hour the brain heaviness clears, making this a very functional strain.
