Montana

How to get a Medical Marijuana Card in Montana? Eligible Medical Conditions in Montana: Cancer, glaucoma, or positive status for human immunodeficiency virus, acquired immune deficiency syndrome, or the treatment of these conditions

After 24 dispensaries have been raided in 2011, Montana’s medical marijuana law had to go through some significant changes and as of May 10, 2013, it has been challenged in court.  On October 1st, 2013, a draconian law will be put into effect that allows police officers to fine a medical marijuana patient if the patient is caught DUI.  Needless to say, without marijuana, some patients wouldn’t even make it to the front porch.

A Senate Bill (SB) 281 is currently in the works and is specifically concentrated on adding post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) on the list of qualifying conditions in the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program. Oregon is also buzzing with rumors that the end of marijuana prohibition may be near.

A bill is currently being discussed in court that would allow taxation and regulation of marijuana and thus end the cannabis prohibition in Rhode Island. Even law enforcement officers are testifying that arresting people for marijuana offenses only averts their attention from the real criminals.

Vermont

How to get a Medical Marijuana Card in Vermont? Eligible Conditions in Vermont: Cachexia (wasting syndrome), seizures, severe pain, AIDS, HIV, multiple sclerosis, nausea or the treatment of the following conditions if the illness or the treatment that accompanies it is severe, persistent, contains intractable symptom; or a disease, medical condition whose treatment is debilitating, chronic and produces persistent or retractable symptoms such as chronic pain and severe seizures.

Important Note: If you’re wondering if the same medical marijuana law still applies even though Washington State legalized marijuana for recreational use, then the answer is – Yes! For a list of frequently asked questions regarding the I-502 measure, please click here.

District of Columbia (Washington DC)

Eligible Conditions in the District of Columbia: Chronic, ongoing, debilitating and other conditions that make it virtually impossible for a patient to function normally throughout the day. HIV, multiple sclerosis, glaucoma, AIDS, cancer, medical conditions that can benefit from the use of marijuana, and side effects stemming from radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

You may also qualify as a medical marijuana patient if you undergo any of the following treatments: the use of azidothymidine or protease inhibitors, any other treatment, as determined by rulemaking, whose side effects require treatment through the administration of medical marijuana in the same manner as a qualifying medical condition.

My mother was diagnosed with ALS in june 2015. Her doctor put her on riluzole, letting her know there was no cure but the medication might provide her a few more months of delayed symptoms. ALS progresses at different rates and affects different body parts first. My mother, being 80 at the time, fell into a category of what they call “fast progression” (older female). Her arms weakened first, then her hands, her mouth, and throat, and finally her lungs. Throughout her years ordeal, she was able to walk with assistance. We have to give a try on herbal supplement which effectively get rid of herbal ALS condition dramatically after her 15 weeks of her usage, she lost touch with reality. Suspecting it was the medication I took her off the riluzole (with the doctor’s knowledge) and started her on the ALS natural herbal formula we ordered. it advisable to always try natural herbs at first because totalcureherbsfoundation. com neutralize her ALS/MND which surprise everyone at home.

  • greg says:

I have anger problims i am14 and they have ben roning my life i live in Wi i need medical weed pils do not help me.what do i do?

    • bob says:

not much as of now you must wait until you are of legal age and if your state hasn’t legalized medical marijuana than you may have to wait longer or move to a state where it has been legalized. i know this isn’t much help but you’ll have to wait a couple years anyways until you are of legal age. in most states they don’t give medical marijuana card for anger issues. its usually for chronic pain or the many diseases, but in California your condition may qualify for they are more lenient about marijuana laws.hope this helped you some and i hope i didnt reply too late!!!!:)

  • deanna says:

how can i get help for my dying mother whom has lung cancer and lives in stupid wyoming??

    • You could always move to Montana (legal medical cannibus) or Colorado (both medical and recreational, legal cannibus) “I would go to Colorado so You can use your imagination more”; at which point a regime of cannibus oil, cannibus food (with the right target foods, combined with appropriately prepared cannibus, like “o.k.
Google, what foods promote healthy lungs and rejuvinate the lungs”, and find the appropriate food oil, since cannibus is oil based, “just Google it!”, and use your culinary imagination!! Dried can be prepared by making an extract, and fresh can be juiced or used directly in cooking!!), and (vaporizer, water pipe) breathing treatments to clear the lungs of any debris, can take place with depository grown cannibus!!!! You may even be able to have your own personal garden at home, with the appropriate medical cards!! Green to buy and “posses”, and red to have your own garden, I think! Begin with cannibus oil, to loosen things up), then begin to move through the very exciting world of cannibus cooking (protiens help “move things”) (like apples and peanut butter!!) and breathing treatments!
      ( just a recommendation)
I just now, a little while ago, noticed the date ton this posting and hope your family still has opportunity to benefit in the same way, relative to your posting, God Bless You guys and Blessings for all of your family and friends!! Have a Good Day!

I live in North Arizona and I need help.

I hurt my back in 2008 by falling of the top of a ladder and have had problems since. Then in 2009 I put my back out trying to help move a popup camper into a garage. I hurt all the time. I have been to a doctor and a chiropractor once each. The doctor just wanted to put me on pills and the chiropractor wanted me to come back on a daily basis for adjustments. He gave me one and it made the pain worse. I do not qualify for state assistance and can not afford insurance costs.

So, I only go to the doctor if I absolutely have to. That being the case I do not have medical records for three years. Can someone please help me I do not know what to do?

I do not want to be on pills all my life and I have to be able to function so I can take care of my family. I am desperate.

I will be moving to DC from CA at the end of August 2011. I will not have a doctor & limited insurance when I arrive. I have a note from my doctor and a CA Medical Cannabis Card.

I would like to know if I can use these to obtain a medical card in DC?

    • BLaM says:

Unfortunately no, you cannot use your CA recommendation in Washington D.C. While D.C. does have a program on the books the only distribution system they allow is through city run dispensaries which have only recently (Oct 3rd) been allowed to submit paperwork for consideration.

I do not believe any doctors are providing recommendations at this time though considering the law (B18-622) has been on the books since 1998 they seem to finally be making some progress with the dispensary applications

I live in FL and I wish they would bring medicinal cannabis here. However it doesn’t seem likely to ever happen due in part to the drug companies dispensing here.

Honestly it is probably just as easy here to get oxys roxys percs xanax u name it as it is to get medicinal cannabis where it is legalised. Everywhere you drive there are “Pain Management” offices which u basically just go and pay a Dr about $100 and he writes prescriptions for whatever you want. Btw I personally don’t do painkillers but living here at-least 60% of the people I know do.

It’s sick and with all these old people here they could probably substitute 75% of meds for medicinal, but the drug co. Aren’t about to let that happen.

  • MariaFocke says:

someone above was asking if you would get in trouble if you had a marijuana card but were caught in a non med state. YOU WILL GET IN TROUBLE. please don’t put yourself in that position. Your card is only valid in the state you got it in. please be careful.

  • matt says:

as many have said please know that your medical card is ONLY valid in the state that you get it in. You can no go out of state with it. also please consider healthier methods of smoking like vaporizing. Read vaporizer reviews to learn about them and if you have the money certainly check out a volcano vaporizer review because it is by far the best on the market.

Found a cool service that refers people to docs at http://cannabisdoctorsnetwork.com/medical-marijuana-cards.php. Was wondering if anyone has used a referral service before to find docs in AZ for pot; or if they know of any good docs I can see before I use a service.

Only a small number of applicants who attempt to get a medical marijuana card in California succeed. The Medical Marijuana movement has been growing in numbers and it is spreading across the country.

    • aaron says:

that is not correct, most are approved very easily. In california, virtually any condition is approved.
as long as there is a valid prescription for a medication for any condition, the patient is approved 99% of the time.

    Hey Tim,
Very well said and from a very interesting pov. Kinda makes you wonder if some of our brilliant politicians have given thought to your view already. Problem I suspect we’re having is they cant figure out how to regulate it to their advantage. Thus u and I get penalized when caught without a card. Just a thought ” may be cheaper not to legalize”

  • Marcus says:

I love smoking weed! Its more of a life style for me. I use it for good use. When I can’t get to bed at night I’ll roll a joint or pack a bowl and I’ll be to sleep no longer than a half hour to be passed out til morning. I wish I didn’t have to hide it as much as I do so put the good word out for the 312, Illinois, Chi-town you know where’s it at!!

  • Timothy Bales says:

When I was in school i experimented with marijuana and contrary yo published expectations my GPA skyrocketed.I used for several years. but eventually gave it up,due to random drug testing for employment.

I have since been seriously injured, and currently take hard narcotics legally.I often wonder if by returning to marijuana use I could reduce and or eliminate the need for vicodin and or percocett, unfortunately I am not in a liberal or even a compassionate state, in fact from what i understand my state Florida, is the worst.

I believe Marijuana should be legalized taxed and used to provide better education. Current laws prevent someone that may have a problem with addiction from seeking help! it is most likely that a lot of addicts started using drugs for fun and or in defiance.Americans are first taught that this is America and we can do anything,we then are told you cant do that,as Americans our first thought is yes we can. We are (Amer I Cans) Not (Amer I Can Nots).

Addiction to drugs is a serious problem not just here but everywhere. Addictions kill a lot of people and also finance Black Markets legalization would take away the Black Markets and also reduce the world wide addiction problems; An addict with an unlimited supply of “dope’ will do one of two things, die or get tired of whatever substance they are addicted to and quit. This is a harsh reality, but nevertheless a reality!
