Unfortunately cancer is part of life and it is vital that the cancer treatment is of the highest level.
One of the side affects of chemotherapy is nausea and many people say that marijuana is great for an upset stomach.
The problem is that doctors are often have no option but to prescribe heavy medication, which often has undesirable side affects. The reason being is that it is still illegal for doctors in many places in the world to prescribe medical marijuana.
Should medical marijuana be used in cancer treatment? Please share your thoughts as it would be great to help cancer patients across the world. Hopefully law makers will read this post and decide to legalize medical marijuana for treating cancer.
CBD has helped my son with his osteosarcoma. We started treating it early on with the water soluble BioCBDplus. I truly believe that this helped control it and shrink the tumor faster than any medication. I believe this because his doctors are amazed at how well he is doing considering we took a milder approach than having them to do radiation. His tumor is almost gone. I couldn’t be any more pleased and grateful for CBD -May
Hello my name is Tom Christine , my husband was suffering from liver cancer, and the doctor’s told me that there is nothing they could do to save my beloved husband life. Then a friend told me about cannabis oil , i told her that my husband liver cancer was in the last stage that i don’t think the cannabis oil will be able to help him out, and she persuaded me to try, for the love of my husband, i decided to give it a try. I did some research and i found a doctor who helped me with the cannabis oil to cure my husband liver cancer and he assured me that after 4 months the liver cancer will be gone, and For the past one year my husband is perfectly okay and he is free from cancer, if you know any one who is suffering from cancer you can save his/her life by contacting Rick Simpson via his Email:phoenixtearsmedicalcentre@gmail.com, it worked exactly as the doctor prescribed. MY FATHER LUNG CANCER WAS CURED WITH CANNABIS OIL
My father has been suffering from lung cancer and the doctor told us that there nothing he could do after doing chemotherapy and radiation and my father was not responding to treatment and not getting better. I was frustrated and confused and seeking advice from people until a friend told me about the cannabis oil and its fast curing ability to any kind of cancer and told me that her mother in-law ovarian cancer was cured with the cannabis oil. I was desperate to save my father and contacted London Cancer Centre via londoncancercentre@gmail.com to get this miraculous oil. So far so good my father is responding to treatment of cannabis oil and the health condition have improved drastically for good within few weeks of usage.

Exactly how much time did it require u to compose “Cancer Treatment with
Marijuana”? It possesses loads of good tips. Many thanks -Adrienne
I HAVE USED A TINCTURE EXTRACT OF HIGH POTENCY MARIJUANA FOR TREATING A PEA SIZED FIBROMA IN MY MOUTH. THIS WAS LOCATED BETWEEN MY LOWER LIP AND GUM AND WAS WHITE, LUMPY AND FIRM.
IT RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY BY SHRINKING MEASURABLY AFTER EVERY APPLICATION OF A DROPPER FULL OF 150 PROOF ALCOHOL THE TINCTURE WAS DRIPPED ON SLOWLY DIRECTLY ON THE TUMOR.
I CONTINUED THIS OFF AND ON FOR MONTHS QUITTING WHEN I GOT TIRED OF BEING HIGH. EVERY TIME I BEGAN TREATMENT IT SHRUNK AND CONTINUED SHRINKING. WHEN I STOPPED, IT WOULD RETURN SLOWLY TO SIZE.
FINALLY AFTER ABOUT 5 ABORTED ATTEMMPTS, I DECIDED TO GO AHEAD AND TREAT IT UNTIL IT WAS GONE. AFTER ABOUT A MONTH OF DAILY TREATMENTS WHICH CONSISTED OF PLACING AN EYEDROPPER FULL OF THE TINCTURE TO DRIP SLOWLY ON THE TUMOR, IT COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED. IT CAN’T BE SEEN, FELT OR LOCATED IN ANY WAY. IT’S AS IF IT WAS NEVER THERE AT ALL.
I’VE HAD IT INSPECTED BY A DENTIST WHO ALSO COULDN’T FIND ANY INDICATION I’D EVER HAD THIS TUMOR.

I think if pot can help treat cancer then that’s ok, medical use is a very different issue to recreational use.
I Personally see no problem with the use as recreational or medicinal. People smoke pot because it makes them feel good. Feeling good is good. The extra added benefits from the medicinal quaolities are icing on the cake. But making a big deal about “Reactional use” ie ABUSE is just dumb.
It was the recreational use that brought the medicinal uses to light. It was the FORCING of medical marijuana use on the Government that was the precipient cause of the studies that are beginning to show all the benefits of marijuana.
As for smoking itself. There are better ways to get it into your system for medicinal use and also for just feeling better.

I want to say, I went through chemothearapy and it sucked. I was sick 24/7, I dropped down to about 78 pounds, and I was in a constant state of nausea. I didn’t find out about medical marijuana until My cancer was gone and I was in remision.
I am curious, however…if there is a certain age you have to be to qualify for medical marijuana treatment of cancer? Because in all honesty I would prefere that if I ever have a relapse, I would like to try to get my card, I would not be able to deal with it again…But I am not sure I am old enough to qualify. (my chances of getting cancer again, are much much higher than that of a healthy person getting it for the first time I want to be prepared.)
My boy friend has a 15 year old black lab that just about at the end of her road.
She has already had her hips replaced and sometimes her legs cross when she walks. She is a sweet dog and loves to eat. But recently she has been suffering with cancer and chemotherapy. She has lost her appitite and always seems depressed. Im sure she is in alot of pain to. I have been debating trying pot to help ease her pain and make her eat but im not sure if thats a healthy thing to do for a dog.
I have read some pretty bad things. please i know she is old but she is worth every day she is breathing. if anybody has any ideas or answers to the pot thing please email me at Babybear42608@yahoo.com. THANK U SO MUCH!!!
I have successfully used Cannabis Oil to treat Basal Cell Carcinoma(skin cancer). It WILL CURE skin cancer, I know, I have done it.
Marijuana should definitely be legalized for medical purposes. In the 70’s my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and she says to this day that the only thing that got her through the chemotherapy was smoking marijuana. She said its the best cure for nausa and allowd her to eat. Recently Massachusetts passed a law passed stating that if you should get caught with an ounce of marajuana or less it is punishable by a $100 fine. I think this country is on its way to legalizing this plant and i hope that it happens in my life time.
well we all know this is medicine and all those law maker should not be ignorant and make a natural god blessed plant illegal . think about that
I, too, have a dog who is sick and completely lost her appetite. I began thinking about medicinal marijuana this morning and came upon your blog. My only worry is that I've seen some reports that marijuana can be poisonous to pets. What is your opinion on that?
And what is a firecracker??
Thanks!
I believe it should be legalized as I have had cancer twice and I was down to 114 lbs. and I was getting sicker because I couldn’t eat. My docter prescribed marijuana and now I weagh 127lbs. I am much healthier because of it.
Unlocking a Cure for Cancer – With Pot
by Paul Armentano
by Paul Armentano
Who could imagine that cannabis might one day offer hope as a cure for cancer? The United States government, that’s who.
For the past 30 years, U.S. officials have willfully ignored clinical research indicating that marijuana can inhibit the growth of certain type of malignant tumors. However, the recent publication of a trio of clinical studies and a pair of scientific reviews have effectively blown the lid off “Cancergate,” and revealed that pot’s medical value may be far greater than ever presumed.
THE EMERGING EVIDENCE
Last year, five scientific journals published prominent articles trumpeting cannabinoids (compounds in marijuana) as potential anti-cancer agents.
These include:
Clinical trial data published in January 2003 issue of the Journal of the American Society of Clinical Investigation that found cannabinoids significantly inhibit skin tumor growth in mice. Investigators of the study concluded, “The present data indicate that local cannabinoids administration may constitute an alternative therapeutic approach for the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer.”
Clinical trial data published in the March 2003 issue of The FASEB Journal that found that the “local administration of a non-psychoactive cannabinoid inhibits angiogenesis (tissue growth) of malignant gliomas (brain tumors).”
A clinical review in the October 2003 issue of the prestigious journal Nature Reviews Cancer that concluded that cannabinoids’ “favorable drug safety profile” and proven ability to inhibit tumor growth make them desirable agents in the treatment of cancer. According to the review’s author, tumors inhibited by cannabinoids include: lung carcinoma, glioma, thyroid epithelioma, lymphoma/leukemia, skin carcinoma, uterus carcinoma, breast carcinoma, prostate carcinoma, and neuroblastoma (a malignant tumor originating in the autonomic nervous system or the adrenal medulla and occurring chiefly in infants and young children).
Clinical trial data published in the November 2003 issue of the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics that found the administration of the cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD) inhibits the growth of human glioma cells both in vitro (e.g., a petri dish) and in animals in a dose-dependent manner. Investigators concluded, “Non-psychoactive CBD produce[s] a significant antitumor activity both in vitro and in vivo, thus suggesting a possible application of CBD as an antineoplastic agent (something which prevents the growth of malignant cells.)”
And finally, a clinical review in the December 2003 issue of the journal Expert Opinion on Therapeutic Targets that summarized “the demonstrated antitumor actions of cannabinoids,” and elaborated on “possible avenues for the future development of cannabinoids as antitumor agents.”
AND SUBSEQUENT MEDIA BLACKOUT
Despite these stunning findings, media coverage of them in North America has been virtually non-existent. As noted by Richard Cowan, editor of the website MarijuanaNews.com, “The New York Times, The Washington Post and Los Angeles Times all ignored this story, even though its newsworthiness is indisputable: a benign substance occurring in nature destroys deadly brain tumors.”
Why the media blackout? For starters, all of these studies were conducted overseas. And secondly, not one of them has been acknowledged by the U.S. government.
U.S. KNEW IN ’74… AND AGAIN IN ’96!
This wasn’t always the case. In fact, the first ever experiment documenting pot’s anti-tumor effects took place in 1974 at the Medical College of Virginia at the behest of the U.S. government. The results of that study, immortalized in an August 18, 1974 Washington Post newspaper feature, were that “THC slowed the growth of lung cancers, breast cancers and a virus-induced leukemia in laboratory mice, and prolonged their lives by as much as 36 percent.”
Despite these favorable preliminary findings, U.S. government officials banished the study, and refused to fund any follow up research until conducting a similar – though secret – study in the mid-1990s. That study, conducted by the U.S. National Toxicology Program to the tune of $2 million concluded that mice and rats administered high doses of THC over long periods had greater protection against malignant tumors than untreated controls. However, rather than publicize their findings, government researchers shelved the results – which only became public one year later after a draft copy of its findings were leaked in 1997 to the journal AIDS Treatment News, which in turn forwarded the story to the national media.
Nevertheless, in the nearly eight years since the completion of the National Toxicology trial, the U.S. government has yet to fund a single additional study examining pot’s potential as an anti-cancer agent.
SCIENCE IGNORED NO MORE
Fortunately, researchers at Madrid, Spain’s Complutense University, School of Biology have generously picked up where U.S. researchers so abruptly left off. In 1998, the research team – led by investigator Manuel Guzman – discovered that THC can selectively induce program cell death in brain tumor cells without negatively impacting the surrounding healthy cells. Then in 2000, Guzman’s team reported in the journal Nature Medicine that injections of synthetic THC eradicated malignant gliomas (brain tumors) in one-third of treated rats, and prolonged life in another third by six weeks. A commentary to the study noted that the results were the first to convincingly demonstrate that cannabis-based treatments may successfully combat cancer.
Today, Guzman believes that enough favorable clinical evidence exists supporting pot’s anti-cancer properties to warrant clinical trials in humans. “The scientific community has gained substantial knowledge of the palliative and anti-tumor actions of cannabinoids during the past few years,” Guzman wrote in the October 2003 issue of Nature Reviews Cancer. “Anti-tumor compounds should selectively affect tumor cells [and] it seems that cannabinoids can do this, as they kill [malignant] tumor cells but do not affect their non-transformed counterparts and might even protect them from cell death. … As cannabinoids are relatively safe compounds, it would be desirable that clinical trials using cannabinoids … could accompany [ongoing] laboratory studies to allow us to use these compounds in the treatment of cancer.” Guzman concludes the article by noting that the Spanish Ministry of Health recently approved a human clinical trial – the first ever – aimed at investigating the effects of intracranially administered THC on the life expectancy of volunteers suffering from malignant brain tumors.
“Cannabinoid research continues to show tremendous potential in the treatment of cancer,” summarizes University of Southern California professor Mitch Earleywine, author of the book Understanding Marijuana: A New Look at the Scientific Evidence. However, he laments that the “vast majority of this work originates outside the United States, often in countries that lack our economic and scientific advantages. Let’s hope that our drug policy won’t stymie the battle against the second leading cause of death in America.”
Indeed. Let’s not add a potential treatment for cancer to the ever-growing list of victims of pot prohibition.

Thanks for your time I will put a link to your page
On mine if it’s ok with you let me know!!
Cancer Patients around the globe have sworn the Medical Marijuana does infact calm the Nausea associated with chemotherapy. I believe that Marijuana should be legalized as medicine. I also believe that the government needs to do more case studies on the “POSITIVE” effects of Marijuana.

As a person who has suffered with extremely painful fibromyalgia and arhritis for years and nothing really helped the pain, I do not see why a doctor cannot prescribe a substance that would help the patient control their pain.

A friend of mine was looking for a medical product that was hard to find. I helped him search for it and found it on HealthMegaMall.com. These guys sell an astronomical number of products. Service and prices were reasonable. I’d buy from them again.

I have shopped at HealthMegaMall.com a few times. They do offer amazing prices on some items but you may need to call them for better prices on shipping some products. They go out of their way to please.
I think Marijuana and hemp oil can be used as a firm step to treat cancer naturally.
Our new medical cannabis documentary has one major character who had cancer – she’s not a stoner, and is a really fresh face with honest info about the benefits of medical MJ for people with cancer. You can see a trailer and an excerpt here: http://www.rxcannabisthemovie.com
Marijuana is great for cancer its just really bad that every state does not legalize it! Someday they will though! I think legal weed
would be great!
I have worked as a Paramedic since 1978 and have been
responsible for the care and treatment of patients with Cancer and many other conditions too numerous to list. What I can say is that I Firmly believe in useing marajiauna
for the treatment of symptoms asscociated with Diseases. I have seen the results- people able to eat solid foods and keep it down after weeks of trying different medications, that left them so weak they could not walk- MS patients no longer shaking with pain. The list goes on. In 1994 I thought I was burning out so I went to work as a deputy in corrections, until I got sick 3 weeks later. The Drs removed a 4.5 pound tumor from my lung. Radiation, 10 months of Chemotherapy, 21 different medications a day and I still can not work. I was not able to keep my medications or food down. I went from 250 to 168 pounds in 2 weeks. I have seen firsthand both sides of the coin. I believe in it’s benefits. End of problem.
medicinal marijuana should be available to everyone with an illness marijuana benefits. the gov’t needs to get out our doctor’s examining room.
To the guy with the dog:
A great way to get your sick pup to eat, AND get a nice dose of Medical Marijuana Medicine, is to use a firecracker.
They’re made out of peanut butter (dog will love it, even if he doesn’t like dog food anymore) and it safely introduces Cannabinoids to your dogs system. Hope this helps, and I’m so sorry to hear about your dog.
This is going to sound a ridiculous, but here goes. I’m an uber nerd and have never done illegal drugs or even been offered them (despite living in Manhattan and attending college there). I guess I was too busy studying. But my beloved greyhound was just diagnosed with osteosarcoma…an incredibly painful bone cancer. He’s on 3 different types of painkillers, and I’d just like him to be comfortable for the time he has left. I’m only treating him palliatively. However, he’s starting to lose his appetite. I have a PhD in molecular biology and I’ve seen the research…I know marijuana would be an excellent adjuvant. But you can’t light a joint and hold it up to your dog’s mouth. And I have no idea how much to feed him. I’ve found a source of excellent material, but I’m not sure what to do now. Are there vaporizers that just let it diffuse? Can I put it in his food? Do I have to cook it somehow first? How much do you give a 75 lb dog dying of bone cancer? Does anyone else have pets that enjoy marijuana, or will this just scare him?
I think its absolutely ridiculous and inhumane that marijuana is still illegal even for medical users. It should me made available legally at least for the people who need it for treatment of their illness. You can debate wether it should be totally legal or not, but it being legal for patients should be a given. There is virtually no reason why it is still illegal for medical users!
http://www.volcano-vaporizer-review.com
Not only cancer but other conditions as well. We do have patients that have used it illegally, and found out themselves that cannabis has helped them, and now they have visited our office to consult a physician about medicinal marijuana. It is not only used to treat nausea, but also to increase appetite, ease pain, and get more rest. Our government should research marijuana and allow all states to legalize it. Doctors should not have fear about losing their license. They should feel comfortable in discussing marijuana as a form of treatment for many conditions.
Lets also not forget that pot was made illegal not only for paper, but also because are american government needed a way to deport mexicans who were coming here looking for work. I have read lots of reasons why pot should be illegal but none of them support legitimate reasons for maijuana to be illegal and yet it is. I have personally seen more people destroy their lives on alcohol then I have seen people destroy themselves with weed and I have been around both all my life. In fact I know paramedics and even surgeons who put eight balls up their nose before their shift and we are worried about a plant that has proved time and time again to actually help people. Please give me a break.
I think Marijuana and hemp oil can be used as a firm step to treat cancer naturally.
Positive thinking, energy work, and diet can also help tremendously.
Good luck all..
Steve
i believe we should legalize it only according to Medical reasons only. many ppl in the united states smoke Marijuana for all the wrong reasons. it should be legalized so that the Cancer patients can be treated right and maybe it can cure cancer away from there lives. i mean who knows what might happen. maybe pretty soon a new president will realize how affective this Drug can be and then he’ll see that it actually does work and that it should of been legalized a long time ago
Yes this should be used for all alments it can treat. It was only made illigal in the 20’s or 30’s for fuel, paper, and food reasons among others. Lets get this stuff legalized in all states for medical reasons to give us some freedom among the slavery.
Countless cancer patients have sworn by Medical Marijuana to treat the nausea associated with chemotherapy. I strongly believe marijuana should be legalized for medical uses. You can find a post I wrote about some interesting medical uses for Cannabis here
It might interest you to know that Naturopathy is very effective in treating cancer and is devoid of adverse side effects brought about by Western medicine. But it is important to get treated from a certified and experienced doctor like Dr.Gez Agolli who would use his expertise in the field and help in the quick recovery of patients. to get in touch with him, visit
