The thing about marijuana is that it’s a very sneaky drug if you use it regularly. Sure, it’s all fun and games at first, but at some point you have to wonder: where is this leading to exactly? We know a lot of people who started of recreationally and continued to smoke in their college years and still smoke to this day. And that’s fine, it’s better than drinking every day or getting wasted on harder substances. It’s even better than painkillers or prescription drugs. Getting high always somehow seems as a safer option. But, in reality, that might not necessarily be true.
Side Effects
If you’re a daily marijuana user, at some point you will try to kick of the habit and this will be followed by 3 weeks of exhaustion, nervous ticks, agitation, mood swings, etc. If you’re a male, it will basically feel like a heavy onset of PMS. So there, you won’t have to wonder anymore what it feels like for women. If you’re female, you will already be quite familiar with the side effects. For some people, quitting marijuana seems to be a huge problem. So, here are a couple of tips to help you kick your daily marijuana habit and consume the drug the way it was meant to be consumed – responsibly.
Kicking The Habit
01. First and foremost – RUN. THC has a tendency of storing itself in your fat cells. The more lard you have, the harder it is for THC to be flushed out of your body. When you run, you obviously burn fat, sweat out toxins and your dopamine levels go up. These three things are crucial in trying to kick a nasty marijuana habit. Marijuana was not meant to turn you into a couch potato. It was meant to medicate you and show you a good time. Use it in moderation.
02. Dieting. We’re sure you’ve heard of this before. You need to change your diet so you can start feeling better in general, not only because you’re trying to kick of weed. However, that is true. Changing your eating habits will result in an organism that copes better with stress and it will make things easier for you when you do quit. For those three weeks, your diets should consist of fibers, protein and zero fat.
03. Supplements are great when they work but most of the times they really don’t. However, we have come to a conclusion that out of all the supplements we actually tried, three of them are extremely beneficial for your mental health when you’re trying to kick off the habit. Look up Ashwagandha and Rhodiola online, these two supplements really do take care of your mood swings and make you more mentally alert. Also look up Omega 3 acids.
04. Sleep. Sleep as much as you can for as long as you can. After you decide to take it easy with marijuana, you might feel drowsy for a week or two, like life is draining out of you. That’s weed taking its toll for all the good times you had with it. So, be sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep every day and go to bed before midnight. Seriously, research has shown that going to bed before midnight is much better for the quality of sleep than if you turn in afterwards.
