Aloha, my name is John Silvestrone and I have had a sleep disorder for 18 days now.

I can only sleep 3 or 4 hours per night (usually 9 pm to 12 or 1 am). I have seen two medical doctors and they both prescribed ambien, which I have not taken yet. I am also seeing a psychologist and an accupuncturist, but so far no relief in sight. I have been clean and sober for 29 years, but I do remember baking the powder from a kilo of marijuana (70's stuff) into brownies and when we ate them, we didn't get stoned, we just conked out--deep sleep.

So I figured I'd give it a final shot before I take the pharmacuetical poison called ambien, because I am going bonkers from sleep deprivation. I actually broke down and went to the ER yesterday and after 3 hours of tests, they gave me ambian. How unusual!

So I would like to get a medical marijuana permit and give it a try, but it's gotta be quick, cause the 5 HTP Tryptophan, valerian root capsules, melatonin, St John's wort and a host of other herbs and alternative sleep remedies are not working.

I even tried Benadryl on advice from the psychologist, but it didn't help at all. My phone number is 966-7230. Thank You.

Hello there,

I live in California and I have had my medicinal marijuana license for about 3 years now. I have severe pain from a serious car accident in 2000. I have 3 new discs in my back as well as a titanium cage in my back. I also have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I have severe anxiety and I am now listed as clinically depressed. I lost my brother at the young age of 45 just a few weeks ago.

My husband is leaving for the islands tomorrow on 11/8 for 3 weeks for work. My family is sending me to stay for a week to try to deal with the loss of my brother. I would like to know info on Hilo, if there is any dispensaries or anywhere I can get my medicinal marijuana.

I do understand that I cannot bring any with me on the airplane as this is federal from what I've been told. Do I have to apply for a card/license in Hawaii before I go or can I use my California license?

I've never traveled out of state since I've had my license. Could you please email me back some info on this? Is there anything or anybody on the Big Island of Hawaii around Hilo where I can get help.

PLEASE if you could respond, I would really appreciate it. My only other options are taking the medicine that I'm trying to get away from. Morphine and many other meds which do cause me to be sleepy, unable to do much, and actually some of the side effects from those meds make me sicker. Is there anything I can do? Thank you in advance for your prompt attention.

Aloha,

Kristine Anderson

Need a Medical Marijuana Card in Hilo???

(808) 854 - 6335 Aloha!I'm Doctor Kevin Baiko. When my wife and I started up Big Island Mobile Clinic last year to medically serve the Big Island of Hawaii, we never imagined it would be so well received. Our goal all along has been to adapt our services to the needs of the various communities we serve. Although we no longer see patients out of our RV, we now have four permanent clinic locations - three on the Big Island (Hilo, Pahoa & Ocean View) and one on Kauai (Kapaa). So although our clinic is no longer mobile, we sure are! And we've changed our business name to: Hawaii Compassionate Care.

Our primary service at all locations is medical cannabis evaluation & registration. Please note: WE DO NOT DISPENSE MEDICAL MARIJUANA OR NARCOTIC PAIN MEDICATION OF ANY KIND. Considering that cannabis has proven to be much safer and less addicting than the majority (if not all) prescription narcotics, it is my policy to refrain from prescribing controlled substances for chronic pain management.

We accept only cash and check as payment for services. We do not accept any 3rd party (insurance) payments.

Please familiarize yourself with our services. If you have any questions or would like to set up an appointment, call us: (808) 854-6335 or email us: info@hawaiicompassionatecare.com or submit your question using form below. Be sure to ask us about our referral & group discount specials!
