Colorado Backlog Cleared

There were so many applications for medical marijuana cards in Colorado that temporary workers had to be hired to clear the backlog; the situation had got so bad that, providing they could supply proof of application, registrants were allowed to buy weed before their card came through. The total number of approved medical marijuana patients in Colorado now stands at 116,000 – representing 2% of the population.

Now the log jam has been cleared, applicants will know within 35 days whether or not their applications have been approved.

To apply for medical cannabis registration you must supply:

  • Proof that you are a Colorado resident
  • A from your physician recommending that you use medical marijuana
